If energy savings is more to your taste consider this; One of the most significant consumers of energy in homes with swimming pools are pool pumps, which keep pools clean by circulating water through filters. Pool pumps can consume 3,000 to over 5,000 kWh per year. Typically these pumps may have 1- or 2-horsepower (hp) motors that run at least five to six hours per day, if not around the clock, consuming energy.
Weather your pump is performing tasks for suction-side pool cleaner, waterfalls or spa jets, most variable speed pumps can utilize programmed set speeds to deliver optimum speeds for each task.
Maybe it’s time for a new variable speed pump. It will save you money.
